Popular Post Rick G
Been hitting a few different lakes the last week in search of gills that are not bedding yet. Found a small pond with some huge gills. Top one went well over 10inches, one of the most colorful gills I have ever seen. Second one is my fourth biggest gill I have ever gotten. 11in long, 5.5 in tall and fat as it could have been. Both are still swiming....hopefully to be caught again and again. eyeguy 54, Tom Sawyer, Pigmeat and 4 others

Grabbed the UL with jig/plastic and sore lipped a half dozen 13"-13.5" crappies, let 'em go and moved on. I generally keep 'em in the 10"-12" range when I want a meal. ozzie, leech~~ and ANYFISH2
rundrave
Hey @eyeguy 54 caught this fattie on a polka dot lure this afternoon from widow maker jigs. Something about that paint scheme just triggers these fish: chaffmj, eyeguy 54 and ozzie

rundrave
Been a long goal of mine to crack 10” and this guy came up just short at 9 3/4”. Still a respectable blue gill for this area. Odd coloring I thought also was more black and white and no blue or orange. I broke 9” on a few fish today that all were released. I was fishing the outside edge of that mess and then while measuring and getting a weight I drifted into it. rundrave
Great day on water this morning. Kept a few eaters before lightning and storms pushed me off. Released some really nice gills also. Still trying to crack 10” I’m not sure this guy could get any closer lol. I think if I measured it on a flat surface it would get there. The gunnels on the bottom of the kayak are not the best to measure on. I probably could’ve made a better effort and found a better surface to measure on but I wanted to get the fish back for a quick release. Water temp still 77.8 degrees Wanderer, Duffman and chaffmj 2
