dewyg
My wife bought this new/used sled this summer. I just went out to take my kids for a ride and it will turn over for a little then the battery appears to weaken to the point that it will not start. Does anyone know about this sled I looked for a pull cord with no luck I pulled it into my heated garage to see if a couple of hours of warmth will fix the problem. I do not have the manual, so I am running blind. My last sled was a 1973 TNT! Were is the battery?
Hafnutz
Sounds to me like it needs to have the battery charged or maybe replaced. Don't overdo it when recharging those small batteries. Maximum of 2 amps or less is all I would hit it with. Also check the water level in it and be sure it is over the plates.
dewyg
How do I find the battery on those I lifted the hood and took off both side panels with no luck. Any suggestions. I did warm it up for an hour and it started no problem.
jltimm
Follow the wires from the ignition.
CraigM
Isn't that year Venture a four stroke? They don't have pull ropes. I haven't ridden a Venture, but the Yamaha 4 strokes have the battery under the air box in front of the motor. You will have to remove the airbox and a metal bracket to get at the battery. If it hasn't been ridden for a while, those sleds need a good battery to start with the temps we have been having.
