Rod Balancer

I've use it on a jigging rod and it does make a difference by reducing the fatigue that results from having a tip-heavy rod.

I would prefer to not have the extra weight at all, so when purchasing a new rod much closer attention is given to how well the rod is balanced with the reel that will be used on it. The balancer works well if a different rod isn't an option.

I will not use a heavy or unbalanced outfit for jigging because once your wrist and/or hand is fatigued, the feel and reaction time is inadequate, resulting in a lot of missed bites. Time on the water is too valuable to be out there wasting it.
