Bigslugger
What is the best or cheapest way to mount a auger on a 4 wheeler?
Hard617
Best? probably the Mad Dog auger mount.Cheapest? probably a gun mount. I use the Mad Dog Fin grip pro gun mount. Works pretty good but I do have to use a small bungie to keep the head from spinning.

Reynolds
You won't have any problems mounting those to a Foreman since you have the tube style racks. The newer Polaris' are a different story. I had to buy rack extenders just so I could put on the gun mounts. The Mad Dog gun mounts with the fin grips hold an auger pretty securely with the bungies that it comes with on each fork. dewyg
Will those fit on a 2004 polaris?
Bullwinkled
The best is a Ryan Auger mount, specifically designed for Augers, simple, indestructable. Can drive all over without bungees and then if you want bungees there are four points on each end. I can not understand why it is not mentioned more. Look up his HSOforum. Ryan is also independent, Minnesota small business. Bought mine at Scheel St Cloud. Once you compare you would never buy a Mad Dog unless money is issue. approximately 40 dollars, but again no rubber other then coating and it will last a lifetime. Kylersk
Just checked out the Ryan Auger mount, I guess I'd be concerned that there is no support for the Power head.

The one I bought does the same thing..but better at half the price..
