Nordic Star auger

My dad bought the auger 3yrs ago it is now missing the auger. I need to know which type of auger it will need. strikemaster and jiffy go in different directions thought I would replace the blade. Which way does it go? Can't tell without balde.

Can't you just start it up and find out?

No, it has not been run for about 2 years.

Get the thing fired up and see which way the stub shaft turns. You can run the engine without the auger installed. I tune the engine on ice augers this way all the time.

I have an old Nordic Star that is still complete out in the garage. I am pretty sure it turns clock wise. I can take a look and see for sure how it is setup to turn.

I went out and checked on the auger rotation on mine and I was wrong earlier, this one turn counter clockwise.
