Smallest Fish Pictures

Cute little buddy! I like catching fish once in a while smaller than my bait. It keeps the fishing interesting, especially when you think it's bigger than it is!

Hovermn, where/when did you catch that little buddy? He could have been my "whopper" in the spring.

I'm not 100% sure, but a good guess would be on Green lake at the South bay. I remember dropping a camera down there and seeing a sea of nothing but small fish. I'm sure ShawnnyB may remember, though. He took the pic, and is good at remembering that kind of stuff.

Just think, if you head out with me this winter, you too could be on fish like that

If fishing is very very slow my son will catch minnows out the minnow bucket. He actually gets them to bite and hooks them in the lips.

you may not believe it but i did that in a pond by my house while fishing for bullheads...got a minnow right through the lips

i was up on mille lacs a couple years ago. fishing was very slow, ok not slow fish were not biting at all. i was up there with my girlfriend at the time and she was gettin bored. she said she wanted to leave, i told her once you catch a minnow out of the minnow bucket were outta here, well about hour and a half later i was packing up the shack and headed back to the landing. she got one. couldnt believe it.

My brother have this competition between us. So I rub it in that I've caught a Muskie and he hasn't. Usually the story starts: Remember that Tiger Muskie I caught while we were fishing for crappies?

Yup... got my fair share of small fish too.

Here is the one Troy McLure was talking about in his post.

Snagged a minnow on the red eye shad. Hung up in some weeds, ripped it free and out comes a minnow.

Also a bigger version of his walleye from LOTW.
