Is it time for the ATV?

I havent had much of a chance to get out on the ice lately. How close are we to getting the ATVs on the ice. I have to imagine that the last three days of sub-zero temps we should be getting close.

Around the Faribault area, people are using atv's on most lakes. Some still have only 3-5" as of Saturday. Just be carefull and know where you are going.

there running all of washington already 8.5-9.5 inches off ice whenever I popped and looked at thickness

Dan z, when you say washington, are you talking about washington county?

I think he means Lake Washington near Mankato. It is one of the more popular lakes out there.

I can imagine the shallow side is frozen pretty good, but not so sure about the deep end. Were you on both Dan?

Watch Washington, 8 people on the short end of the gene pool dropped their vehicles though by the access. Do a search for KEYC, mankato station has video on their site.
