Artic Armor Gloves!

13 posts in this topic

I bought the camo suit last year and love them! But I didn't buy the glove at that time. Now I see they are free with purchase, I wish they offered that last year! I had just purchased the ice armor gloves and couldnt justify buying another pair of gloves. I love the ice armor gloves but havent see any coments on the Artic Armor gloves. If they are any thing like the suit Im feeling I really need a pair!

Any coments on the gloves?

I read all the reviews on the suit and decided that was the suit for me and all the comments on the Artic Aror suit were right on THANKS TO ALL THAT POSTED!!!

Great set of gloves, a bit bulky, but nothing warmer, especially the choppers.

They are great gloves. Had them on yesterday on Pool 4 and kept my hands nice and toasty. If anything they can get too warm.

I would also say to check with who you bought them from. I got my bibs and jacket last year and then found out they were giving away the gloves with the suit. I talked to the guy I bought mine from and he sent me a pair for free.

Arctic Armor doesnt make chappoers that Im aware of Ed.

The gloves are very warm and waterproof but seem to run a bit small. I wish they made a xxl glove.

I'm sure you will see them there. Last year they were gone by noon on Saturday though.

I’d stick with the ice armor gloves, they are just as warm as the arctic armor gloves, but have less bulk, I have both but pretty much use just the ice armors.

Thanks for the replies! I quess I was hoping for the thinner and lighter and more waterproof kind of comments. I will admit I really like the ice armor gloves.

Do the arctic armor gloves absorb water like the ice armor gloves do?

I've had a pair of ice armor's for a while, and my hands never get wet, but the thing that I really don't care for with them is the outer liner absorbs water and freezes when running and gunning... the waterproofing seems to be inside the glove. Are arctic armor's the same way?

I don't believe so Marine Man. I've had mine for a year and never had the problem.

My brother and I both have AA suits, and he got the free gloves deal. I have the Ica Armor gloves. They are basically pretty much the same, to our eyes. They both with absorb water... unfortumnately. We thought they might make good decoy wrapping gloves, but nope, they soak up the h20....

    • You can save the mapping data on an SD card. In order to create a map you will need the Zero Line Card. You will take the SD card and plug it into your PC. Down load the map data into the zero line software. The software than creates the map and uploads it to the zero line card. It is typically recommended to use an SD card for the data as once the zero line card is full of either maps or map data another card will need to be purchased.
    • whats a samsquatch?  lol
    • Nope....don't need friendseyeguy54..... It was a darn samsquatch!
    • Way to get him out MM!  I'm sure he appreciates it.
    • I believe some units come with maps of some lakes but probably wont have any real detail as far as contour lines.  I think most will have a map of the US but when you zoom in you wont get much for detail on lakes and If they do contours will probably be 5-7ft apart.  If you want to put data on a card you will need a zero line card for mapping. About $150 i think.  8 hours should give you quite a bit of mapping.  Best would be to buy from a retailer so someone with knowledge of the product can show you how to run it.  You might be able to take some snap shots of sonar and put on a blank card but don't think you can map with it. I would get a Lakemaster card for the area(s) you want to fish.  Worth every penny.
    • Turkey season is over for my nephew!! It was a long season with many hours spent in the blind. He seen more turkeys then ever before and had a toms close enough to grab. It is going to be nice to sleep in. Until fall turkeys!
    • Heading up to Devils in a couple weeks and again later on.  Doesn't look like a lot of activity on here.  Tryng to get an idea whats happening before I go.
    • I have been out the last two days locally and haven't set the world on fire. Caught a few each day, but fish have been scattered. Lake is loaded with curly leaf mats this year, so that hasn't helped things. Once that starts dying and weather warms up, things should pick up.
