fish size

I got a question.... Do fish shrink or become longer when you throw them in the pail or on the ice while ice fishing (when they are dead)?

They shrink. Think of when you lift weights. While lifting your muscles look bigger because they swell up with water. The same think happens when you fight a fish. They use their muscles and get larger by about a 1/4 of an inch for a little while.

I think they expand. If you think about it, when Ice forms it expands, thus when a fish freezes I think it expands, not by much but it does. Who knows though!
