I saw the web cam pics and now I'm thinking of heading Black Bay for a long wknd of spearing. There's some resorts right there, even one that rents spear houses. I've never been up there fishing or spearing so I'm hoping to get some general info.

What is spearing like on Rainy?

Is the water clear, murky, stained?

Is it possible to get around without a sled or 4 wheeler? Are there any plowed roads usually?

Is there decent walleye/crappie fishing for non-spearing buddies that might come with?
