Ice Reports

1 post in this topic

An ice report for the east central part of Wisconsin including the Winnebago Chain and surrounding areas.

Currently most bays and channels are holding approximately 2-4" of ice respectively. Many people are hitting the Skipper Buds/Sunset Bay in Oshkosh and are reporting fluctuating ice conditions, but mostly safe ice thus far. Stay away from areas of current.

I hit the ice for the 1st time this season on Big Green Lake. Was fishing boat channels on the North side of the lake and experienced a solid 2-4' of ice. As always, use your thinking cap when venturing on early ice. Patience and Safety.

More cold days are coming this week. This will only improve the satisfactory ice conditions thus far. Good Luck and Stay Safe.
