Anyone know an easy way to remove them without streching the spring???

I push them through from the back side. Seems to work well.

is there anywhere you can get that style of spring bobbers without shelling out $50 for a rod? I have lookied but the only ones I could find are the rubber and spring type.

You can buy the spring separately anywhere the rods are sold. Buy some replacement rod guides and put one together.

I had same "issue" with my St. Croix. The "trick" I found that worked well for me was a little WD-40 sprayed on the eyelet. Just needed a little lubrication.

be careful as I broke one of the prongs on the holder last year trying to adjust the spring.......
