Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Ice Shows and Augers

Recommended Posts

I doubt you will find it for cheaper than that and if you do you will need to include the price you paid for parking and the ticket to get in, plus the other stuff you may buy. Pick it up from FF. If you go to the show and find it cheaper, then return it at FF.

I don't know if it matters, but usually when they are priced that low they are factory reconditioned. They carry the same full factory warranty and have a new auger on them. You can't tell the difference between a recon and a new one, some people are just get a bit funny about the reconditioned augers.

Oh I'll be at the show! You can count on that! smile I haven't made a big purchase like an auger in the past though and was wondering if they were discounted to that degree at the show. Thanks for the replies. I've been a "lurker" here for quite awhile but not a big poster... Not enough time in the day!

Big DS, I don't think this a reconditioned unit, normally if it was a recon it would be listed on the ad. If you look at the ad closely, it is listed as a "Strikemaster Magnum Plus. Never heard of this model before. Maybe it is a special model released by SM only thru FF, the SM site does not list it.

In the picture it looks like a Mag2000. $289 is tough to beat, especially with the cust service backing of SM.

    • We live in town in the Twin Cities metro area.  We've had a female Red Breasted Grosbeak in our feeder for a couple weeks. Don't remember ever having them before. And just one? When does that ever happen with Grosbeaks?
    • Sorry, but his 60 some RBI for someone who's hitting over .300 is exceptionally low.  Especially for the number of games he's played.
    • @MJ1657 That was good for a chuckle over breakfast.  I heard you might've had a less than flawless day yourself.
    • Sounds good to me! Maybe blanch quick then into ice water like tomato's to get that skin off first....
    • I've never tried it but maybe a guy could peel the beets, cold smoke for a couple hours in a disposable aluminum pan. Then crank up the heat and cover with foil to cook tender. Maybe they would bleed out  without skins? Any juices could go right into the mix. I have plenty of beets to experiment with, I'm going to have to try it now. Smomed pickled beets mmmm!
    • Weather was perfect up here! cloudy, drizzly, 55 degrees. we shot quite a few ducks, geese. The first hour was solid. Lots of birds around, but then as usual it died down. I was surprised at the amount of hunters out there on this WPA considering it was a 1/2 mile hike to get to it.  Left at 9:00 when my son got cold. Will be looking at getting a game cart to haul all the gear back and forth. Maybe try it again next weekend before I get serious on bow hunting......
    • My son and I got 9. Should have had our limit. Lot of teal zipping around! Lot of mosquitos too!!
