Spring for reel?

3 posts in this topic

I took apart my reel the other day and greased it up in preperation of winter... When I took apart one of my reels, the spring that trips the bail went flying, and of course I ended up losing it.

My question is, is there another spring I could use that will do the job? Or do I have to order one specially? Or am I plain out of luck?

Either way, I'm not too happy with myself about it. mad

If you want it work properly, you will have to call or email the company that made the reel. You may be able to talk to a local reel repair place and order the part, but you cant just throw in any old spring and expect it to work.

A band-aid procedure would be take the spring from one of those clicker pen. You will have to cut it some to fit.
