Lake Mill Lacs , need help!

hello, me and some buddies were thinking about renting a shack on lake mill lacs this winter. I was wondering if anybody thinks it would be worth it. Ive been told that this summer it was a "dead sea" and it wouldn't be good. Any info would help alot, when to go and maybe some techniques as i am pretty new to Waleye fishing. Thanks

Time of year would be good info, preferably on the East or North side.
