well i know somone here has more information about it than i do but the jist of it that i have gotten is that the lower the pressure, the more micro-nutrients that are able to float around in the water. the more micro-nutrients in the water column then the more baitfish, and finally the more baitfish the more active fish tend to be. this is what i have gathered from my readings but im sure if you search on here for bari pressure you will find something.

I have one spot ice fishing that when the barometer is dropping and back on the rise the big walleyes come feeding in this spot.It is a 14 foot hole and the rest of the lake is 10 foot max depth.Last december we caught a 5.8 lber and a 7.3.A couple years ago i took a freind out to this spot with the same cicumstances and he caught a total of 9 big walleyes. He was using my fishing poles as well.I caught zippo that night. He never lets me live that one down mad
