Will she be re-elected due to the comments made last week? I thought McCarthy was dead, but guess not.

There's enough idiots in her district that are as much of a nut job as she is. She'll probably be reelected. Long live the Christian-Fascist party.

Don't worry, those words were "Put in Her Mouth'...it seems if you're asked a simple question like, "Do you think Barak Obama is Un-American, and You answer with a long desertation on why You think it should be looked into...the asker is the Guilty Party... laugh

One more Self-Righteous Right Extremeist, that won't take Responsibility for Her Own Actions... blush

I maybe a nut job but I'm not an one-who-thinks-I-am-silly grin I did not vote for her the first time and I wont this time. And I think the words of being a mouth piece will prevent her from being reelected, I hope. It is hard to refrain from disparaging remarks about her so I will let her speak for herself.

She is doing a rather good job of planting both feet into her mouth.

Christian-Fascist?
Sort of an analogy to political parties like the Christian-Democrat or Christian-Socialist parties in Europe. Instead of Republican (you remember, small government, fiscal conservative, lead not rule, etc) the current Republican party has developed into a coalition of endtimes pseudoChristians (Fallwell, Hagey, etc) and fascists (big government married to big business, K-street project, PNAC, etc) hence the name Christian-Fascist party. Mrs Bachman is pretty representative of what the Republican party has become (anti-science, anti-freedom, corporatist, fear and smear, with a sprinkling of a few words from the days of real Republicans).

Wasn't her interview a matter of interpretation? I listened to a taped version of the interview on the radio and I'm not getting the same vibe you all seem to be getting from it.

I agree with you Jamison. I didn't get all the negative from it. I think she was asking something a lot of us want to know. But others choose to jump on it. It's politics, so anyone can find anything to jump on.

I guess it is not enough for Dink to insult a single person he now has to insult and district.

Bachman is an embarrassment to Minnesota, she makes stuff up to fit her extreme political agenda. I'm glad she stuck her ignorant foot in her mouth, she deserves to be scrutinized far more.

Basically she said that the media needs to look into congress and determine which memebers have anti-american feelings. What is that supposed to mean? Does she really think that there are people in congress that do not want American to prosper? Does she think they are not patriotic? What does she mean?

This is an easy thing to jump on because it is pretty far out there. If you ask her I'm sure that it would be easy to determine the anti-americans in congress, all she would need to do is ask all the democrats to rasie their hands and then she would have her anti-americans.

This is just another reinforcement of the dividing that the republicans have tried to do. Everywhere Palin goes she calls the "Real America", that supposes that there are parts of American that are not real. Again what does that mean? Is "Real America" a place where only "Real American's" live, can a democrat be a "Real American"? Do I live in "Real America"? When did we come to the point where there is more then one America?

Anti American feelings.. what the [PoorWordUsage] is that? She should shut up. No doubt what she says bears resemblance to policies of Facsisim and Red China, and USSR.

What it means is that we Minnesotas appear to have a legislator that gets all of her information from talk radio, right-wing blogs, & chain emails.

Seriously. With this comment taken with many others she's made (among them the Iranian plot to partition Iraq...), I hear a lot of the same debunked, untrue, paranoid rants that I hear from my right-wing friends who hide in the closet with their tin hats with their AM radio muttering "It's all Bill Clinton's fault..."

So what about the ones that mutter "it's all GW's fault?

They're right!

If they're still muttering that in eight years, I'd be worried.

I've made my call that folks will still be blaming whistlin' Bill for things in 2040.

Thats totally differnent, we don't wear tin foil hats. We prefer wax paper, and we hide in the basement not the closet.

And of course we feel more justified becuase it is all GWB's fault. grin

Only insulting those who are stupid enough to reelect her. You have to be pretty stupid to vote for the living embodiment of Joseph McCarthy and disciple of Joseph Goebbels. I do hope that there are decent Americans in her district that will give her the boot.

What about the people stupid enough to vote for a Presidential candidate that has and continues to have associations with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers?

In a sense, that was my point. Each of us can dig on one another about this candidate or that candidate but it doesn't get anybody anywhere. The lack of unity really disgusts me.

The lack of unity encourages me.

The day everyone agrees with everyone else in this country, I'm moving to Canada. You don't get anywhere without diverse opinions.

Perfect, then we disagree. Ha!

Moving forward, I still think there needs to be more "aisle crossing" in Congress. This notion of "so and so" voted 90 - 97% within his/her party will not continue to work.

hehe I believe there's unity. Everyone of us wants whats best for America. We may disagree on how to improve the US, or feverently disagree. But to say you disagree with me is Anti American...that's just outrageous. I will say this also, those we believe to improve the US is to be under taliban rule or communist rule or some zealous regilious rule is also nuts.

Our unity starts and ends there.

There is no need to call others names. Lets please keep this civil and forget all the name calling. We can debate this without slamming others.

Thank you.
