You can use either size 6 or 8. Custom jigs and spins ratsos and shrimpos are good choices. Lil atom stealths or optic jigs tipped with a nuggie are always good. There are just so darn many good jigs out there. Maynards flutterbugs size 8 tipped with plastic. I could go on and on.

Ratsos, rat finkees, shrimpos are good. Kastmasters work, Rapala Ice Rap, Swedish Pimple. I think I have caught crappies on a wider range of lures than any other fish- when they get hungry, they seem to bite on anything

If i am gonna be using live bait, i will tend to use the Flat Belly jig from the guys at FIshYum, great little jig that fishes HEAVY! Also am lookig forward to trying a new one they have out htis year called the Petite Treat, seems like it will work pretty well in those livebait situtations. These jigs ahev amazing paint jobs and detail and they almost never chip or crack.
