SledNeck
My trophy will be when I get to shoot a blackduck. I dream at night of harvesting a nice blackduck to put on my wall. If I was smart iwould have mounted the black duck I shot, also some of the cinnimon teal, sprigs, spoony drakes and other stuff I shot when I was in southern calif. I do have the world record size green winged teal mounted! Shot it at the Salton Sea in far southern calif.
Hammer Handle
I have shot all of mine in MN...all in the central part of the state.Snipe are good to eat. So are hooded merganzers. The best ducks to eat (in my opinion) are the Greater and Lesser Scaups (bluebills). The smartest ducks? I would say the Goldeneye. B. Amish
I disagree as far as the Goldeneye being smart. I've always thought ther are very easy to decoy.
Hammer Handle
Really? I found them hard to come in and decoy. Woodducks seem to come in to anything. I believe that is why antique wooden woodduck decoys are worth the most...as no one made or ordered woodduck decoys...and they came in to any decoy you had set out.
