Yahoos List Of "Trade Bait"

16 posts in this topic

Yahoo has listed some guys that their respective teams might move, and 3 were mentioned as the Vikings being possible suitors: Chad Johnson, Roy Williams (lions) and Tony Gonzalez. Gonzalez is at end of his career, but would still be a better option than Shiancoe.

Oh yeah Gonzalez we could use him for run blocking and down field. But I think Roy Williams is the best fit for us. He'd be a great target for whoever our QB will be now and for years to come. Berrian, Williams, and Rice three tall receivers now that would be something.

I don't care how great Chad Johnson is...I don't want him here.

Or, what is his new name????

OCHO CINCO

What if he got traded to a team that doesn't have number 85 available? Then what? He could be 18. Uno-Ocho. Ha.

I think Andre Allison should be out there more often then...Bobby Wade. Bubby. Ha.

Don't want any of them. Ocho Cinco is a headache. Gonzo won't get traded, and he's not a long term option. Roy Williams wouldn't be dealt within the division, and perhaps not in the conference.

I agree with this.

I wouldn't take Chad Johnson, he may be a great reciever, however his attitude and antics would be a poision pill to this team. I would like to see Williams in purple, he could really stretch the field, with a good attitude. And anything could be better than Schiancoe.

I'd love to see Gonzo or Williams for the right price, but to trade away picks is tough. I'm not saying I don't want them in purple, I just don't think those guys really are on the trading block, at least not to the Vikes. Gonzo will retire a Chief and Williams won't be dealt in the division.

I don't think they will give next years first round pick for anyone, I am 99% certain they will pick a QB with that pick

I read something last night saying TJ Houshmanzadeh may be trade bait as well. No mention of the vikings or any other potential trade partner inthe article but I would take Houshy is a heartbeat. He's the real super star WR for the Bungels.

HE was on that list also, prone to injuries though. Same as williams, and no way would the lions trade him to a division team.

What kind of injuries as Houshy had? I see he missed 2003 but since then he has only missed 4 games in 4 1/4 years.

Now looking at it you are right nofish, I have had him on my fantasy team one year and there was always a Questionable or doubtful by his name. That kind of stuff sticks in your memory. I think he would be a great pick up for the vikes. Heck even ocho cinco. Jarred Allen could beat him into shape if he got lippy.

I would ONLY sign Ocho Cinco to change his number....

grin I don't care who ya are, that's funny right there.

No Ocho, please. He's twice as hard to deal with as Randy Moss ever was, and can't even come close to putting up the same numbers.

    • Hey @rl_sd who had the meat on sale? Looks great btw
    • chicks maybe exploring what the beak is for
    •   You can also be a little creative with the leftover meat.  For example: The wife and I will whip up a spanish rice mixed in with the pork and make Enchiladas or heat the pork on the stove top, mix in some BBQ sauce and make quesadillas (the grandkids love them).   There's more to pulled pork than sandwiches.
    • that is great!!!!   good for you guys!!!!
    • Your right rs_ld,  a full smoker is the way to go, leftovers can always be frozen and re heated..good eats.
    • 195 degrees on these butts. Like they say, if you are going to spend 9 hrs smoking 5# of meat, you just as well spend the same amount of time smoking 45#. The local grocery had these on sale so had a few friends take the offer to throw a roast on for them. Took two off early for slicing  Pulling the rest cost them each a beer though!
    • Very good stuff, kinda tasted like ribs with this recipe,  I'll keep at it til I find the right one!! Good luck moon lake!!
    • It will be interesting to see how the Warriors react in free agency.  Will they be able to keep the team together?  It seems like all these guys value winning above a paycheck so they might be willing to sign deals that will still allow the team flexibility to keep good role players around them.
    • That's too bad.  The fish were ON FIRE up there.  I went out with my dad and uncle with our tiller walleye boat, and hardly a clue what we were doing, and we crushed them!  Ended up with 118 pounds of packaged salmon fillets.  I think I can honestly say it was the most fun fishing trip I've had in my life.  Here's my biggest of the trip, 25 pounds.
    •   It's amazing to see a thoroughly talented team like Cleveland just get dissected like a back alley pick up team. I agree--GS will be THE team to beat for several more years if they keep their nucleus. I think we can make them sweat a little bit now, though, so that's pretty exciting for a change!
