LA have a chance

I am predicting LA vs Phillies. I know out on a limb there, huh? I do have to say the Cubbies have a better chance at coming back from an 0-2 hole than the Brewers do.

Tampa VS Phillies

Wow, all 3 teams are hurting. By the end of the weekend, all 3 midwest teams may be gone.

I think it might be a LA vs LA World Series.

Me too. The sympathy garbage for the Cubs is (and always has been) so old.

It would be cool to see Joe Torre win it all.

"George is getting upset!!!"

SO true on the Cubs.. The reason the franchise is the way they are is because of the happy-go attitude and the sympathy card.

It's almost like they expect to lose,, becasue they are the Cubs. I really think this is true from management, to the broadcasters to the fans. And I will never buy the idea that this 2008 Cubs has nothing to do with the other 99 years. Physically they don't, that's obvious. But mentally they do,,, they looked like the defintion of "deer in the headlights" after Loney's Grand Slam. you can't tell me that after things go wrong, really wrong,, they start to wonder about olde Billy,

and ONCE that happens-- IT's time for next year.

99 years is a LONG LONG time. Maybe they should combine both teams and go from there. This way only 1 heartbreak and not 2...

Dodgers are worst team in the playoff's by far.

That being said they have just as good a chance as anyone to win it!

If my Brewers don't make it, I wouldn't mind seeing that match up. Tampa has a good young team and they're fun to watch.

No love for the Phils? Looked good the first 2 games, a bit of a bump in the road today, but I have faith.

Year after year-- this is the problem with this team. It will continue for alot longer with guys like Soriano striking out with a ball in China.

I'm not quite that confident. If it ends up the Phils and Dodgers, I'll take the Dodgers though.

Were you not on record as saying the Cubs have a better chance coming back and winning their series then the Sox even tho the Cubs were down 0-2 and going on the road. Do you chase inside straights often! LMAO> grin

I am hoping it is the Phillies year, I was a huge fan of theirs in high school, and the year I graduated (1993) broke my heart. If not, I want to see the Rays do it.

    • Thanks Rebel, very good answer.  I've been keeping track of the pressure for a week, now.
    • Hey Rebel, what do you consider low and high pressure?  Perhaps a stupid question, but I just got a weather station so now I can start tracking barometric pressure. Right now the numbers don't mean much to me, been around 28-29% in the south metro the past few day and I don't know if that's low, high or middle.
    • Low pressure signals a front moving in, (Bad weather, wind may be  from the east or north) which usually puts them "on the feed", can have some hot and fast action. Likewise, a swing in the other direction, a high pressure system , (wind from the west or south) which signals clear skies and sunny weather, may do the same. The key to me, anyway, seems to be hitting it just as either front moves in. An extended low or long high may result in poor fishing. Remember the old adage, which also has to so with the pressure: "Wind from the east; fish bite the least...wind from the north , the fisherman goes not forth, wind from the south, blows the bait in the fish's mouth; wind from the west, is when the fishing is best".
    • Those trumpers sure know how to keep things classy.
    • Is it true, the lower the pressure, the bite gets hot? Or the higher the barometric pressure the fish slow down on biting?
    • Is that like saying "the lights are on, but nobodies  home.?
    • Newsie's where reporting on how the lights are on in the white house at 5am...   "First time in a long long time.."
    • Beautiful!!! Can I ask what your dry brine for the side pork was?
    • Don't forget to get your Dihydrogen Monoxide detector as well!!! That's what we really need to be worried about!! Especially on and around lakes!
