Can I keep her from coming into heat?

My female lab has always came into heat about the middle of October and I was wondering if there is any way to keep her from coming into heat?

You could have her spayed. Other than that I'd recommend talking to your vet and see if there's med's out there. I'm guessing they'd be expensive if they exist. Personally I'd go the spay route unless you plan on breeding her to provide high quality pups.

There are meds to push the cycle back but I am not sure they will prevent it from happening all together. Talk to your vet about it but as I said you can push it back.

GOOD LUCK

Get her fixed. There is no shortage of lab and lab/mix pups around the way it is.
