NETim
We recently finished a week of fishing on Lake Bemidji, the lake of endless shallow water at the ramps. While there, my XS sucked up some gravel and the gravel held one of the thermostats open so it wouldn't warm up properly. The local Merc dealer, disassembled the thermostats flushed it out and all was well. I thought I had the motor tilted up enough to prevent this from occurring but it still happened. I just wonder if this is something these engines are prone to doing.
marine_man
I don't think it's any more prone than any other larger motor...make sure you tip it up a little more next time.marine_man

Deitz Dittrich
Actually I think the XS is less prone to stuff like this in where the water pick ups are located...
bassNspear
Deitz is right, they are less prone for the simple fact of the intact and the low water pick up.
