Hey Roofer,

Are you going to be in the deer hunting area this weekend?

Yes, there are 5 of us heading up there to build two stands and try to replace what was stolen. We also plan on ripping up the backwoods real quick before we leave. J/K

Actually we are building the stands and checking how wet it is, so we can bring up a skid steer to clean up whatever mess is on our road and driveway the next time we go up.

I am heading up in the morning myself. I am leaving about 6:00am. The pups and I are going and plan on spending the night. If you have time, stop by (I will have some cold ones)or if I get my stuff done maybe I will scoot over and say "hi". If you run over during the day and my black chev truck is there and 4 wheeler is gone I am on the gandy side, you should see my trail. If the truck and buggy is there and We are not, that means we are out walking the woods. Would be nice to meet up if possible.

It took us all day to get two stands up with some shooting lanes. We left and were pretty tired by 5:00. Possibly be going next weekend also.

Hey Roofer,

You weren't riding on the Moose Walk trails this weekend, were you?

Nope, wasn't up there, but wish that I could have.

When I was up there for the ATV parade, someone drove by me and stopped my friend and said they knew me. I haven't figured out who that is yet. Said they were from FM here.

Roofer, that was me who stopped your friend on the trail at the ATV parade.

No, I wasn't sure. I thought maybe it was your wife. When I rode with you and Lep at the Red Top, she was your girlfriend.

There were to women riding with us. One was my wife riding a Sportsman. The other was a friend of ours who used to be Pres. of ATVAM. Now with the BRC. I thought that was who you talked to. There were so many people on the trails I wouldn't have been able to pick out anyone. I may have been going a little too fast also. smile

    • Retch, puke gag.   Good God, do you guys realize what you do to the more sensitive palates around here. I've watched buzzards walk right around a pile of pike to get to a good aromatic gopher. Please,  consider your Forum pals.
    •   Got it, I stand corrected.   Looks more like an AK than an AR though...

    • small lake actually. boat in 10 to 12 feet and casting to shore. i got mine on swim jig and paddle, spinner bait and jerk bait.
    •   For $499, I'd buy it.   A Russian Gun? What, are you working for Trump now?    What do you mean "convert to 12 gauge"? I think Saigas are all shotguns, aren't they?
    •   Really, how deep?  Head scratch?    Oh, I think I'm smelling river.
    • Road Warriors!!!
    • that worked today    friend was throwing jerk bait and 4 nice eyes slammed it. funny!
    • Cooler than normal temperatures, clouds and rain dominated the last week and slowed down the spring progression, including bird migrations and fish spawning. However, a warm-up in the next couple of weeks could change that quickly.River systems across the entire state are running very high, and while the Memorial Day weekend has traditionally been a popular paddling weekend, recreational safety specialists are cautioning that only experienced and properly outfitted paddlers should be on rivers when they are running this high. The Lower Wisconsin River set a flow rate record this week of 42,000 cubic feet per second at Muscoda and there are no sandbars available for camping. The river is running fast and deep, with some boat launches under water.Fewer anglers were out this week due to the rain and cooler weather and those that were reported mixed success. Along Green Bay one hot spot has been out of the mouth of the Pensaukee River where anglers have been catching limits of walleye. White bass anglers had a great deal of success, with some harvesting more than 20 fish from a few hours of fishing. .
