minnesota lake?

heard from a couple people the lake is closed to hunting ne one else hear this news?

yea I heard it on the news the other night and a couple of other lakes as well and they were closed for all recreational use because of some dead cormerants and pelicans that had some disease and dont want it to spead to chickens and it is not harmful to humans. thats what I heard

I also heard that but can not confirm it, that sucks cuz minnesota lake can be a great lake to hunt!

The whole lake isnt closed to hunting. just a 20 acre section around the island. It is due to the newcastle disease. The other lakes are Pigeon Lake, Lake of the Woods, Marsh Lake and Lake Kabetogama. you can find all the info on the free press site. Ive never personally hunted the lake but im from the area and hunt most of the lakes near it.
