Could Be Worse-

13 posts in this topic

We all could be Chargers fans. I will tell you what, if I were a Chargers fan or player or coach even for that matter, and they miss the playoffs by one game, I would cut all ties with the NFL. That Cutler "fumble" was the worst call I have ever seen. 10Xs worse than Bradys against the Raiders.

Yeah, they got the shaft a couple of time that game.

Instead of an "itchy trigger finger", the refs had an "itchy whistle". The play was blown dead thinking it was an incomplete pass. A pre-mature whistle IMO. Refs should let these plays continue and if questionable, let it be reviewed by either a challenge or by the booth if under 2 minutes remaining in the half/game.

DTRO was right, earlier a WR (can't remember who) made a catch, went down with the ball and a safety took the ball out his hands and took off running, and they let that one go as well.

It's called an inadvertent whistle the play stops at that point.

The referee thought it was an in complete pass it happens they make mistakes.

I doubt they will change the rule to let players continue to play after the WHISTLE BLOWS!...LOL

The earlier call the replay equipment was not working.

Get over it!.... grin

Big deal the referee thought it was an in complete pass it happens they make mistakes. Play better football and all is well.

Unless this situation happens to the Vikings right? crazy That call cost them the game period!

Dang....I was never under it smile

As far as the last “oops” whistle. Yes of course they make mistakes, but they need to learn not to blow the whistle so dang fast. Especially within that 2 minute window in a tight game. Contrary to what people think, no matter how good you play, the officials can still make a huge difference in the outcome of a game.

Of course it impacted the game and it may or probably did cost them the game.

My get over it remark was more out of laughter over the "cut all ties with the NFL" part of the post it's just a game and one bad call... grin

And the "play better" comment was directed toward maybe stopping them on 4th and goal from the 8yd and the 2 point conversion "SWEET CALL" along with the SD receiver keeping his foot in-bounds in order to kick the winning FG!

It could be worse, we could be Green Bay fans.

Even if they win the Super Bowl, I would never want to be a Green bay fan....

    • Next up Grow Lights, I have a south facing window in my den that I use to start plants with. I have a big shelf at window height then I use glass blocks and put steel closet racks on top to set my plants on. I can stack about three levels high. Above all of this I have a three bulb flood light fixture This year I went out and bought three 15 watt grow lights. I had to buy some socket extenders so the grow lights would screw into the floodlight sockets. Tried them out last night and they are pretty dang bright. I am going to have them on during cloudy days and in the evening to see if they help promote growth. Any day now I should have some tobacco coming up and I will see if the lights help speed up their growth.

    • I think the Wild vs Jets games are pretty awesome atmosphere-wise. They have a lot of fans that travel down here for games too. It would appear to be a fun place to watch a game in Winnipeg for sure!

    •     Actually I haven't advocated anything. Just pointing out the War on Drugs hasn't been a success along with skepticism that anyone can "win" it   I'll leave the debate of legalization and the pros and cons of doing such to others
    • The problem of prescription abuse has been recognized on a national level, but it must not fit the agenda, since there was no funding appropriated to go with the legislation.         On the national level, Congress this year passed the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act(CARA), which increased to 275 the maximum number of patients for whom a physician can provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid dependence. In a provision aimed at controlling usage and reducing diversion, the law allows prescribers or patients to request partial prescription refills and then opt to have the remainder filled within 30 days.

    •   They're legal until they fall into the wrong hands.  But I haven't heard of many cases where doctors or patients have ended up in prison for distributing narcotics.  So far, the suggested remedy for the epidemic seems to be for the states to set up online information sites so the public can be "educated" about the dangers of using addictive drugs.     So, apparently, armored vehicles, swat teams, and prison sentences are the answer for illegal drugs, and education is the key for legal drugs,
