Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Tarvaris Jackson

I think these stats tell you the difference in the game.

Tavaris Jackson

C/ATT YDS AVG TD

14/24 130 5.4 0

FYI, Manning had 300+ yards passing despite a terrible first half.

Jackson actually reminds me of Brad Johnson. They both can throw the short route and the slant, but absolutely no accuracy past 15 yards.

Jackson didn't look as terrible as the boo-birds would indicate, although I agree that he has no accuracy at all beyond fifteen yeards. That has got to improve. There were plenty of other problems today that were in no way Tarvaris Jackson's fault.

And there is no way anyone can say Troy Williamson's immense suckitude can be blamed on Jackson. Williamson was in Minnesota for three years, and dropped a lot of balls that were thrown by QBs other than Jackson. Plus, Williamson excelled at dropping balls that were right in the numbers, regardless of who threw them.

Gutless loser.

4th quarter 3rd and 5.

They run it into the center kiester....to try a 47 yard fieldgoal.

It starts with the coach, who sticks with a worthless quarterback.

Get rid of both of them now and start over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chile,Shianco and Jackson need to go, it was evident last game, this game and probably next game. Tired of this terrible short lived program. They sucked us in one more time believing we had something. Don't even want to hear it's only been two games, these are the type of games that keep you out of the playoffs, even the first one or two games count in the end. Ziggy can't put off the inevitable might as well do it now.

Censorship should be turned off for this thread and it should be turned into an adult only thread. Probably learn some new words and sayings.

Jackson didn't look bad early in the second half when Childress let him roll out for a few plays. Then he threw one bad pass and all the Viking "fans" started booing. Can't these people see that the play-calling is killing this team? Jackson was once more restricted to throwing those stupid short-yardage bootlegs to the RBs and TE's. It is real easy to defend against those vanilla plays, regardless of who is taking snaps. I'm not saying Jackson can or will be a good NFL QB...but with the predictable play-calling how would Frerotte be any better? Jackson is working in a West Coast system that he is not ready or well-suited to run, and that system is being run by an one-who-thinks-I-am-silly named Brad Childress.

Just so you know we are 0-2 but both games were close, and each was within 1 score . We could just as easy be 2-0. Although the team looks good at times, then the team looks just horrible other times. I am not off the wagon yet!

This thread is ridiculous, guess which quarterback had a higher rating after that game? It wasn't Peyton Manning, check the stats. Only morons are booing after that game and blaming it on the quarterback. Missed opportunities, and weak play calling are to blame. Get off this kid's back, it isn't his fault.

Don't put it all on TJack. The play calling is horrible and inconsistent, and in my opinion the biggest contributor to the Vikings' offensive struggles.

Shaincoe comes in second.

TJack's innaccurate deep ball is the third largest contributor.

Most everyone knew heading into this season that our offensive brainpower was questionable. Obviously none of the coaches attended any offensive play calling classes over the offseason.

I wonder how much play calling Childress is overuling Bevell. If Chilly is overruling many of the play calls then yes Chilly is to blame. Peterson won't last half a season if he has to carry the load all the time. I don't think they know how to execute a screen pass yet. Shianco has to be a big bust in free agency. He was supposed to be a bigger part of the offense this year, but he is reminding me of Williamson too much. Is Berrian the only receiver Tjack looks for? We are going to go thru another year where defenses will only play the run because we still have no passing game. Our qb can't execute. When we run as much as we did tells me Chilly has no confidence in our passig game or maybe Jackson. If we are not 500 midway thru the season then I say bench Jackson for Frerotte and maybe start over with Booty. We will need to look for another qb next offseason.

The main reason he had a higher QB rating is he avoided throwing an interception. Basically, he can't complete a pass to a player on either team. WallyGator if you think he looked better than Manning, you musta fell asleep for the second half.

    • Maybe I should try something similar. I am hunting alone, but could probably get my neighbor to help. Thanks for the suggestion. Rockin Randy
    • I called Direct yesterday and they offered me a fair price but it was only for 12 months and 12 months at regular price. That was with a 2 year contract. Dish is no contract and 24 months at one price. I asked the lady at Direct if they thought it was better to loose a customer of 35 years or match the competition.. She had no reasonable reply. So,, Hello Dish Network.. And I was on the phone 20 mins.
    • I am ready except it looks like it’s going to be warm and buggy.
    • My buddy does the same always revs the four wheeler up before he leaves. On his sits he would have someone else drive him in bait while he gets in the stand they rev the four wheeler and take off. Dinner bell come and get it
    • No clue yet somewhere with a cheap motel and some public land
    • Who's ready for the season? Cant wait!
    • After a while we only started hunting evening because we never had any come in the AM. We also started making a bit of noise when baiting (rattling cans) when we had two Bears working. They started coming in right after we baited so the bait, after noon and stay behind hunter seemed to work pretty well.
    • sorta helps, I'll find it...  thanks... me and google just got it.....     have to go see!!
    • Hall of Fame? You must be joking...... Every player starts out like that. No one starts out with a 23 m dollar contract. He still averaged about 15 million per year for his career, that average probably goes up if he plays past 2018. I think he will be ok.
    • Joe was also the 74th highest paid player the year he won the MVP. You may say he is over paid now but he was underpaid 1st half of his career. @Bobby Bass   I don't think Joe is a future Hall of Famer, not even close to borderline but a great player none the less. I think if the Twins would have made a deeper playoff runs back when Morneau was healthy and Santana was Cy-young would have helped. But Joes playoff numbers are terrible. I could maybe see HOF if he would have stayed at catcher his entire career though..... But he will more than likely end up winning a gold glove at 2 positions, and with one being catcher that is pretty elite.
