Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

World Poker Store State Finals

Recommended Posts

Got invited to the World Poker Store finals yesterday at Jackpot Junction in Morton. Don't know if anyone else from this site was there or not, but what a fun day (until I got beat) We had alot of people there, I never heard a number, but am guessing around 400-500 people. I ended up in the 80th-90th range before getting knocked out. At the last state finals, I made the final table and ended up getting 10th place (out of 400 or so). My highlight of the day was getting to meet poker pro Marcel Luske and getting my picture taken with him:

Where's the upside down sunglasses?

Looks like fun. I was just saying to someone last night, that if I ever came into a ton of money, I would like to spend a lot more time playing poker.

There was a female Asian player there as well, but she isn't as well known as Luske, and to be quite honest- I can't remember her name. My cell phone takes a horrid picture, either that or my buddy had the shakes! They had come over from the Trent Tucker Invitational, wish Michael Jordan had came with them, that would have been cool!

Zamboni,

I think you would have made the final table if you were sporting the Silver and Black! That shirt choice probably led to your collapse! LOL Just kidding, man, I love Texas Hold Em and follow both the World Series and WPT. I like Marcel, he is very entertaining at the table. I also like Daniel Negraneau, Phil Locke and Antonio Esfandiari. I played with Phil Helmuth the last time I was in Vegas at the Mirage, he was OK, I think he is a tool but he is entertaining, kind of like Mike the Mouth. I got his autograph but did not have my cell phone on me to get a photo.

When I made the final table at the last finals I got a Hellmuth golf shirt, pretty nice shirt. I actually think he is in the top 2-3 poker players in the world. He says stuff we all think, just don't say.

I know this is completely off topic....

Friday night at Running Aces, the bad beat jackpot hit, $84,000.

Worst part of that whole deal, it was the seat that lost in the hand, for the biggest share of the jackpot, I'd sat in when they opened the table, a 2/4 table. Too bad about an hour before the jackpot, I'd thought I'd win more money at a 3/6 table. laugh

I went back Saturday night (yes, wife and kids were out of town) and the flippin jackpot went off again for $63,000. This time though it was the table next to me.

I guess I can say at least I was in the same room.

I was almost involved in a bad beat in Kansas City at Harrahs. This was back when the Aces/Jacks full house rule was minimum for a bad beat. I had AJ and flop was A A J. I was betting, getting raised, re-raising, and so on and so forth. Me and one other guy. Plus, there was a 3rd guy involved that was all in, it was a 3/6 table. I was wanting to lose to JJ so bad, so I would get the big share of the bad beat. Bad beat was about $250,000. Very nice. Come showdown time, he had A J as well. The all-in guy didn't have anything. He said I thought we had a bad beat going there, I told him I did too.

    • I'll just laugh when you fall because you have a terribly inefficient movement pattern created by a treadmill.  I don't need any sort of medical background to know that you move on the ground (earth) as you pull yourself forward and push yourself away while on a tread mill your just moving without purpose.  Your body will learn from repetition and when you increase the intensity, your body will develop those patterns faster.   Thank you for the attempted digs, I have addressed every one of those questions in the past numerous times.  Its not my fault you cant remember Dick
    • To answer your question, at peak eclipse I measured 3500 LUX outside, which is brighter than thick clouds. To fish, what happened today was a typical cloud moved in front of the sun.
    • I did, but didn't find anything. Not sure I am doing a proper keyword search however. I believe it is called a termination cap.
    • So, what is your training that makes you more of an expert than the Cardiac Rehab center of the Mayo Clinic?   You got the 6 week certificate in sales from the Chiropractic Institute?   Seriously, do you have a degree in a health field?  Have you even had any serious scientific training in any field?  Last I recall, didn't you work selling gadgets to Chiropractors or something?  I know you are a big fan of the subluxations and spinal adjustments to cure cancer and diabetes and prevent autism as touted by straight chiropractors.
    • Here's some footage from the last couple weeks in central and northern WI. Gotta work at it to find the big ones, but managed to find some nice ones lately!
    • Yup. Like a shopping cart.
    • Well, being you are not engaging your hamstrings on that treadmill, and you're TRAINING on it!!, you can pretty much guarantee your feet sliding out from underneath you, slipping on the ice next time you encounter it.  Thank you treadmill, best piece of equipment in the gym, for an orthopedic surgeon.   Let me guess, you like to walk slow on it, so its good for you.....?
    • Thanks RD!  Good info. That's an interesting technique with the Chatterbait.  I will try it.  If you don't mind -- what kind of trailer do you like with the Chatterbait for that technique?  There will be 3 of us fishing so it will a little tight.  Probably will only bring 3 rods...  I am thinking a Jig rod, T-rig rod (plan to try a Nekko rig with this as well)  and one moving bait rod (Spinnerbait, Chatterbait, Buzzbait, Frog, Cranks, etc.)  The great thing about Ottertail county (like others in Mn), there are a thousand lakes... we will hit 2 or 3 a day.  If we have good conditions (low pressure/moderate wind) we will probably try Musky on Battle Lake.
