Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

WHERE ARE YOU HEADED THIS BOW OPENER??

Recommended Posts

Hey guys its fast approaching I tried counting sheep to go to sleep and big racked deer kept me awake ha ha.

well i have a few options all public land and am trying to get insight where would you go?

CARLOS AVERY-good sign but this year have yet to see a deer.

RUM RIVER/MILLE LACS WMA- havent had the chance to drive up there yet so havent scouted but i know the areas and usually set up in the same place during rifle season. would like to try my luck bowhunting it

PRESTON AREA- near 52 (ISONOURS) never been there dont know the area but im always up for something different and a change in scenery.

Out of these 3 where would you personally go? Or do you go to any of these places? Maybe ill see some of you around?

just to mention im not a PRIZE TROPHY hunter so thats not my main priority. My main priority for a few years now is to get my 15 year old brother his first deer. im looking more into quantity of deer than quality. Just an opportunity to take a doe, cull the herd, so any tips on these areas would be great too.

I would probably choose some where I am familiar w/. Not sure which has a higher doe population. just a guess but I'd stay north. maybe look at fire arm zones and figure out if the 3 places are in the intensive, managed, or lottery areas. Good luck; hope ya can stick one.

You'll be hard pressed to find more deer than SE MN. Besides, sometimes it good to see some new country.

The Mille Lacs WMA has a good population also. I would say base your decision on the type terrain you want to hunt. Hilly and Ag - Preston. Flat and densly wooded - Mille Lacs.

I hunt both those areas. They are both fine.

Don't be too jealous. If it's hot, I'm going to get a lot of work done and put up approx 50-70 no hunting and tres. signs along the fence lines and through the woods. Thats a day and a half job.

If I had enough land to warrant putting up 50-70 no hunting signs and take a day/half to do it I wouldn't be jealous one bit.

I'll be up in Frazee on 110 ac. Good luck to all.

Helping with the Capable Partners is better than going hunting yourself. I help with a handicapped hunt in North Dakota and there is nothing better than the smile on their face when they harvest a deer.

Good luck on your hunt.

Metro. I can hunt at the nature preserve at my workplace. Then MBRB, then maybe up at my Pine County land. I'm overstocked with places to hunt.

That just automatically ruins opener every year . eek Why would you even consider getting married in the fall? Jan-Aug is plenty of time for weddings.

Anyway I'll be hunting a new spot right near home this year, my first year bowhunting smile

    • They don't save cap space that is the whole point. The money is still spent. What it allows them to do is go OVER the cap during such time a player is on LTIR. It doesn't give them relief at all, it just allows them to go over the cap. We already have Coyle on LTIR so it wouldn't do any good to add Parise to that. That would mean two moves would have to happen when they are both healthy. The Wild could do that too, but what sense would that make because they would be forced to be compliant once Parise is healthy. Hossa is likely going to be LTIR all year. At this point I doubt Parise will be out that long. Russo did a very good writeup on it last night for TheAthletic. You can also read up on it on CapFriendly.
    • I'm on board with the others, sounds legal to me!  Best of luck hunting! Kettle
    • Was in Joes sporting goods last night and they had the 8" K drill for $219
    • Sounds good to me.
    • It should be as long as the wma butts up to the lake,
    • Great catch for that spot!
    • I want to hunt on a Wma that's borders up to a lake. It is legal to launch from the Wma and roam around the lake and hunt on my canoe? Keeping in mind I'm away from houses and not being on land or property.
    • Hey guys, now that you guys are pulling out your houses to check them over it is also a great time to add the Sure Step.  If anyone has any questions let me know or check out my Facebook page SureStepSD.   Thank you.
    • I've been using the Eagle Claw inline for 4 seasons now and it's always been a good cheaper option.  Never had a real problem with it.  For all the drag issues I hear about it, it didn't let me down at all when I hooked into a 27" lake trout while fishing for rainbows last season.  On that note, I was able to try 13's 6061 reel for a bit last season and that sucker is so freaking smooth that I'm going to get one this season.  If don't want to spend $80 on a top-of-the-line inline like 13 Fishing, the Eagle Claw works just fine at $30.
    • I am all for folks finding and sharing a good deal. Just don't let it be a direct link to another forum. thanks
