I know I probably shouldnt post this, But I will anyway. Is Kucinich sometimes kinda crazy? yeah. But if you dont appreciate a speech like this. There is something wrong you cool He nailed the issues that WE are facing. Did he offer solutions to these issues in this speech? no. DEM. PUB. whatever. The last eight years have not been about terror, or morals or "whats right". Its been about MONEY. In the pockets of people that could care less about you and me.

I expect to see great speeches from the republican party convention as well. And there will be a few.

here ya go. and some have seen it else where. im sure. But some may have not.......

Gee, someone actually talking about the issues instead of name calling. How odd.

True, but I wish he would propose some answers rather than just pointing out what is wrong. [PoorWordUsage], anybody can complain. (Especially Dems. Not the the Repubs aren't douchebags themselves)

I agree Sonic, you can finger point and say this or that are wrong, but where are the answeres and if elected, what are you going to do about it?

That is the democrate way. Doom and gloom, blame, guilt, and pointing the finger at the evil bush, republicans, and conservatives.

It must be depressing to always blame everyone else, and have such a glass half empty outlook on life.

Check out this story....

Conservatives are happier than liberals. This according to a 2006 Pew Research Center survey cited in a paper published this month in Psychological Science.

But New York University researchers set out to isolate the reasons why right-wingers would have greater subjective well-being than left-wingers.

They collected data from nearly 1,200 people from the 2000 American National Election Study and found that above the effects of gender, marital status, income, religion and age, the reason for this happiness disparity can be distilled to the separate ideologies of liberals and conservatives.

The authors argue that a conservative belief acts as a psychological buffer in a world of increasing inequality. The idea is that conservatives tend to rationalize inequality as the result of a fair process in a meritocracy, whereas liberals tend to see inequality as inherently unjust.

Analyses with data from 9,000 people across 10 countries uncovered the pattern that, not only do right-wingers report greater life satisfaction across cultures, but the gap widens in those countries where quality of life is low.

Finally, the authors looked at U.S. data spanning the past 30 years, and found that increasing economic inequality is associated with the decrease in the nation’s overall happiness. But noted they found that liberals’ self-reported happiness decreased more steeply than that of conservatives.

I'd have to agree with this as well. (in general)

the first step in solving a problem is identifying the problem. For 8 years we have been told the economy is strong. OK some people still havent IDed that problem. The Dems are able to see that there is some problems and they need fixing. The Repubs just can not acknowledge some problems let alone solve them. So what should we expect if we elect a republicans are in control more of the same.

    • I guess I never associated a north wind wind lower pressure. Or a south wind with higher pressure.  Learn something new everyday
    • I watch when it drops below 29.5 Hg on down (29.0 Hg or mb; millibars) or when it swings up past 30.0 mb. That's my reference for "highs" or "lows" on my Barometer. Remember to adjust yours to your local Wx reading, they have a slot shaft in the back of the meter for that. I  love my old dial Aneroid barometer.  They last forever, too.  Mines kicking about 35 years... (That's not mine, pic is for low and high reference...)
    • Thanks Rebel, very good answer.  I've been keeping track of the pressure for a week, now.
    • Hey Rebel, what do you consider low and high pressure?  Perhaps a stupid question, but I just got a weather station so now I can start tracking barometric pressure. Right now the numbers don't mean much to me, been around 28-29% in the south metro the past few day and I don't know if that's low, high or middle.
    • Low pressure signals a front moving in, (Bad weather, wind may be  from the east or north) which usually puts them "on the feed", can have some hot and fast action. Likewise, a swing in the other direction, a high pressure system , (wind from the west or south) which signals clear skies and sunny weather, may do the same. The key to me, anyway, seems to be hitting it just as either front moves in. An extended low or long high may result in poor fishing. Remember the old adage, which also has to so with the pressure: "Wind from the east; fish bite the least...wind from the north , the fisherman goes not forth, wind from the south, blows the bait in the fish's mouth; wind from the west, is when the fishing is best".
    • Those trumpers sure know how to keep things classy.
    • Is it true, the lower the pressure, the bite gets hot? Or the higher the barometric pressure the fish slow down on biting?
    • Is that like saying "the lights are on, but nobodies  home.?
    • Newsie's where reporting on how the lights are on in the white house at 5am...   "First time in a long long time.."
