Catmendo
I was back on the shores of Lake Winnipeg yesterday evening, when I noticed a small flock (consisting of seven) of semipalated sandpipers sifting through the shoreline surf. These little guys nest in Alaska to Newfoundland and throughout Canada's Artic well above the treeline and even beyond the artic circle. When they show up on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, they are on they winter migrating route which will lead them as far south as Central and South America. I can never resist a sunset when the opp. presents itself. The days are getting shorter and shorter. A week ago it was setting out beyond Stony Point, now look where's she at. micpic
That first image, framed and hanging on the wall would make any room feel warm this winter. Great shots!
