Free Otter Den (poles bent, melted zipped but functional)

16 posts in this topic

I have an Otter Den that I let my friends use last year only to have it returned with bent poles (the poles are round) and a melted zipper. I built carpeted partitions in the tub and there is a light switch if you would choose to wire lights. I bought a Clam X2, so I do not plan on repairing or replacing the aforementioned problems. The tub is in excellent condition and has a hitch. IMG_0626.jpg

Bobb-o

I am in the process of moving, so I don't know if I will be around much Monday (8/25). I will get back to you tomorrow afternoon once I have a better idea of what I have going on.

The portable is up in Milaca where I am moving my belongings to Monday. I will bring it back down to Eagan with me on my last trip of the day.

I'd have been all over it if I'd seen it quick enough.. that being said, I'll get in line if the others can't make it.

    • It's not optimum for home defense or hunting either. Basically just lower cost plinking.    As far as Bushmaster, they make ok guns for sure. But personally the fact that they are owned by a venture capital firm who tried but failed to sell them off some time ago, they are more than likely controlled by bean counters rather than gun enthusiasts and that generally doesn't bode well for quality.
    •   social media king...... and dont you forget it ! ! !  lol
    •   I see you have a whooooping 65 posts. start sharing and maybe the site will be smokin again... LOL  have fun and stop beating the horse that died.  pretend ya just found the site
    • Use the hallow points or ballistic tips they rip apart
    • I usually get mine from Tim over at Stump Jumper Designs. He does great work and has lots of choices of woods etc...
    •   Yeah, but you know your Aunt Bev will never make fun and insult you on FaceBook like you will get here!
    • Smoked 3 slimers last week.  real simple brine, 1 cup pickling salt, 1 cup brown sugar and water to cover.  24 hr soak.  added onions and brown sugar on top. 3.5 hrs at 195.  Used to leave skin on, dealt with the slime.  still tasted great.  Been skin off for a couple batches lately and its the way to go.  no slime to deal with, just sprayed the rack with pam.  hammerhandles be ware!
    • I've only tried them with Northern, but honestly, I'm not sure I could taste the difference if I didn't make them myself.  All psychological, IMO - this will likely start an off-topic discussion BUT I participated in an 8 person taste test between Walleye, Northern and Bass (yes, we cut-up a medium sized bucket-mouth).  I was the only one to name all three fish correctly and it was only due to the fact that my friend who was in-charge of the test accidentally missed a y-bone so I just had to guess in-between walleye and bass and I guessed correctly.  A couple of the guys also had a y-bone and got their guess between 'eye and bass wrong!!!  Flaky white fish is flaky white fish - especially when you bust it all up, mix it with bread crumbs, mayo and whatever else.  Again, just my opinion.
    •   I agree the split did not work out. Also a lot of people are on FB. Heck I finally joined last year. Jury is still out whether I like it or not!!
