Yellow Lake

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

Going to hit up Yellow Lake tomorrow morning and into early afternoon, for bass, some nice crappies, and if we get the urge might try our luck for some muskies. Curious if anyone has been out recently and had any luck. I have also heard there are some dandy crappies in there, but it is difficult to catch them in the summer. Any input? Thanks!!

Noy many people catch crappie in the summer here, though you're right, there are some dandys in the lake.

IMO, you would be better off fishing walleye as they can be had right now.

Had a mediocre day...Caught one walleye, about 1/2" shy of legal. Did manage to catch one nice largemouth out of the deal, as well as some fatty perch when we were walleye fishing. The water had a lot of green floaty stuff on top, almost like dust mixed in the top layer of the water. Beautiful weather for fishing, it was the catching that was nothing to brag about.
