bass set-up

I'm fairly new to bass fishing and I would like to set up a new rod exclusively for bass. In the past I have always fished walleyes and pike so I would greatly appreciate it if I could get some help on this. For all around bass fishing what would be the best action rod to use and what strength and type of line?

I first would like to welcome you to FM! Great to have you part of the family here of great people.

As far as your question, there is so many different ways that you can set that rod up. Its all going to depend on what your going to fish. Docks, Deep, reeds, that is the biggest thing. The most easiest thing out there is a spinnerbait.

I think that I'll be fishing the weedlines mostly with cranks and spinners.

Read this thread. It peoples opinions on what rod/reel/line combo they would use if they could only choice one. so most people choice a good all around combo which is what I would recommend
