I can tell you I have pulled up FM on my Treo when out fishing. It takes a while to load and sift through though as it loads like a normal web page.

I know there has been some talk of this recently among the admins. It seems that most people are able to read the boards, but different phones with different software aren't always able to post.

I'm not sure where the higher-ups stand on this, but I know it hasn't gone unnoticed.

I chuckle a little to think people are checking the site, even when they are out fishing or hunting. If I had a smart phone I would probably be doing it from the deer stand.

I would use the "contact us link" at the bottom of the page, you will get the info first hand!

If I had a web phone I would be looking at this site on it, that's for sure. Possibly in a store isle or checking for ideas for different tactics while fishing.

Works OK from my Blackberry. Its a lot of scrolling, but workable.

I like the idea of reading while fishing though laugh

Yeah, a WAP site would be fantastic and it would only fuel the addiction that much more. LOL. I think the side bar on the left makes it harder for mobile devices, and users, to browse on a smart phone/pda. Lot of scrolling to get to the meat of the page.

A while back I was having issues with my locator while I was out fishing but couldn't remember the button sequence to do a hard reset on the device. Pulled out the Blackberry and within a few minutes I had my answer while sitting in the middle of the lake. Pretty amazing at times what a person can do today.

I can tell you it was handy on opener this year being on Leech. We were able to get out Saturday morning without issue and I wanted an ice update on other parts of the lake. Found out some boats had been caught in some ice and that ice was still an issue in some areas.

Also good to check some reports when in for lunch/dinner/cold ones.....or planning the next days attack. Extra info always helps.....at least I like to believe it helps! shocked

I get it on my centro. Takes some time, but I can pull it up and post if I want. I've checked it while out fishing before. It's an addiction I tells ya!!!! Would be nice to see mobile. I'm sure it will come at some time as smart phones are just getting more and more popular.

*raising hand* I plead Guilty to the charges! Guilty I tell you!

was easier on a Blackjack before the HSOforum remodel, however, both before and after it's helped me with the waiting, both on the water and in the tree on quite a few occasions. wink

I for one would welcome most heartily a WAP version of FM.

I use it on an Ipod Touch as well, would be great to see it enabled for a mobile browser though.

I just got a blackberry and use " Opera mini".It let's you see the whole web page at once in micro size print so you can get past all the banners and such. Then you can enlarge the section you want to read.It is still a lot of scrolling but it is better than without it imho. It also let's me go to sites that are too big to download in the normal screen. (like hsolist).

    • Looks like we have at least 1 faithless elector so far.
    • Of the 2 candidates that had a chance at winning, Hillary was the only one that had anything resembling a plan to help rural America. Hillary's plan just didn't resonate because it basically was modernizing rural America, and rural America wants to relive a past that is no longer achievable.    Unfortunately a libertarian is probably an even worse choice for rural areas. While a libertarian would cut federal taxes, they also would significantly cut spending to things like infrastructure where rural areas have a disproportionate maintenance cost to local tax revenue ratio. The Libertarian "privatize everything" or "leave it to the states" mentality would likely lead to many roads becoming toll roads in order to pay for maintenance. And those tolls are by and large paid by locals, increasing costs of local goods and making area businesses less competitive.
    • Well, OSU is going to the playoff, and Wisconsin and Michigan are getting at large bowls. That leaves Minnesota as the #4 remaining team.
    • +1 on striker ice love mine
    • I know of which you speak and they were full when I stopped by for my new fav Ghost Pepper beef sticks on the last weekend. Well I stopped by on the 1st-2nd and last weekend for the beef sticks! I use to cut up all my Deer until I and the wife wanted some of those more fancy brat's and sausage I just couldn't do.
    • My FXR sled jacket and bibs have the F.A.S.T Flotation Assistance system Technology in them so I get dlb duty out of the suit sledding and Ice fishing. Right now Cab's up in Rogers has the FXR outdoor suits but they aren't cheap. Love mine.
    • Those look Great. Most of the time just crock potted them to death!
    • Glad to hear it isn't the local 172 processor people complained about last year.    I was happy to have the needed "facilities" back this year.  Set up, skinned, sliced, diced, vacuum packed and cleaned up in 3.5 hours.  No, that doesn't include the grind, but we do take that in.
    • I go to Petty Bro's in Annandale and have with about the last 8-9 Deer. They usually get it back in about 3 weeks.
