Freezer Sweet Corn recipe?

Recommended Posts

I've done freezer corn where I cut it off the cobs, and it's great but lots of work. I want to try freezing some on the cob. I plan on breaking them in half. I'm assuming they need to be blanched a certain amount of time, then an Ice water bath to cool, then to the Vac seal bags. Am I on the right track? What has worked for you? Thanks.

If you are using Vac Seal bags, freeze the cobs on a cookie sheet, then vac seal them. They seal much better if hard and not soft.I do the same with corn cut off the cobs. Then it isn't in one lump and you can take out as much as you need and re-seal it.

I micro-wave it to blanch it.Then put in ice water.
