Mille Lacs Sat nite?

Anybody else fish ML sat eve or nite? I got on the water about 8:00 pm, I thought it might be perfect with still warm air, sunset, moonset a bit later, possible storms later that night or the next day, etc. Quite a few boats, but I had no action and saw no other fish caught either. Then at dark a freak wind blew up out of nowhere, everybody else skedaddled, and I stuck it out until 4:00 am. It did calm down quite a bit, but still no action. Anybody do anything and I was just not on the fish, or was it truly a tough bite? Makes you wonder sometimes if the environmental influences really do have that great an effect after a nite like that.

A buddy and I were out Thurs night/Friday morning, and Friday night/Saturday morning till about 3am both nights...nothing. Fished out of SE bays the first night, then the north end second night. Saw one fish porpose before sundown Friday, but otherwise nothing. Didn't see any other boats bag anything either.

Talked to one boat around sundown Friday, and they said they had 15 follows all day, but when we talked to them they hadn't seen anything in a couple hours. Guessing that's when the wind subtly shifted out of the east.

We fished shallow sand, weed edges, weed edges with steep breaks. Nothing.

Threw the box at them.

Friday was a beautiful night on the north end. Saw a ton of shooting stars.
