Although these two are different in every aspect, they share a very common similarity. They're both "wizards on the wing"! The Eastern Kingbird is a member of the fly catcher family. Phyically, they're about the same size as a Red Wing blackbird. When it comes to defending their territory, NO OTHER bird does this with more intent to cause harm to those who invade its space! They will literally take on ALL comers regardless of size and or species. I once witnessed a single eastern hammer a much large magpie to the ground! The clumsy flying maggie never had a hope!
