Big Time Trips (Gogebic, LOW, Red?) since gas is becoming a limiting ingredient

A new GPS and chip to replace my 1998 Garmin smile

Maybe a few rods, jigs, and rod bags but those don't hardly count cuz you NEED them every year, right wink (or so I tell my wife)

I sort of hope to find a cheap snowmobile but if it doesn't work out I will wish for very little snow to make dragging the portable easier. I think there are some tipups that have built in storage which would help me keep my quick strikes untangled.

Be carefull buying a cheap snowmobile. I got a $100 89 Yamaha last summer. I think I put over $600 and about 100 hours into it. Should have just got a newer one. Oh well works fine now. Bring on the snow.

I agree, I stocked up this spring and summer, last year I had a hand auger, rods, tackle, and an old suitcase style house that was too heavy to use.

Now I have a H2O, Strikemaster Auger, Marcum flasher, Otter Lodge, and I should be set, but I suppose I really want 1 or 2 of those thornebros rods....and more tackle of course

This time of year you can find some good deals. I picked up my strikemaster auger at a pawn shop a few summers back for about $120. You'll have to ask to go seem them in back this time of year but this is the time of year they have the best selection too. They will even let you take it out front and fire it up. Got a lot of strange looks running an auger on a sidewalk in mid July. The thing still runs like a champ.
