Bonds in Blue

I like the idea, last in the league in home runs, we need another stick in the lineup, we all know that. And the good news is the TWINS can afford him. As far as the distraction part boo-whoo, tell him to show up and bat.We need another bat in the lineup to make the playoffs and to go deeper in the playoffs.

I'm not a Twins fan...it would be a disgrace to even have him in the midwest! I totally understand where you are coming from though....I don't think any organization would want the headache that comes along with him. That's a lot of drama!

Really is it that bad, heck ol knobby was on the list. We used to support him ...right? People are ranting and raving we need a third baseman that can hit. I really don't see one out there we can get.

This is the kind of post you'd expect from PierBridge!

You crazy!.... grin

Bond's career is over isn't he like 47? just my opinion but the only jersey he'll be wearing will pin stripes and I aint't talking the Yankee's.

Since Bond's agent is shoping him around at the league minimum salary he would be a good pickup for the rest of the year, even if he is a Diva. Sign him at the league minimum, give him a performance incentive, and can his butt if he starts acting up. Not much downside.

If Bonds paid us 75 million we still wouldn't let him come here for OBVIOUS reasons

Cause the Twins are anti-power?

Cause if the Twins made a bold move to bolster our team for a post season run it would shock many people to the point of heart attacks?

I think it would be an absolute shocker if the Twins ended up with Bonds.......I would be for it for the fact that he is better than what we have at DH and in a must we could put him in the outfield and he wouldn't do any worse than Delmon Young.....He might bring a crowd with him but he might be the power that we are lacking and the way the Twins handle players I think Bonds would be just happy to be given a chance to come and play ball. The Twins need something to get them over the hump and into the playoffs and the all-time hr king* might just be what we need.......

How about this guy??

Reds left fielder Adam Dunn hit his 30th home run on Monday night, tying the Phillies' Ryan Howard for the major-league lead. His .941 OPS ranks ninth in the NL. And his defense, by most measures, has improved.

Nobody wants him?
