Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Nice fish guys!

Hot bite for me this weekend was bass, large and smallmouth both in size and numbers. Had about 6 browns 18 and up with my first legit 20 inch smallie. I see why they're called footballs now, WOW!

I know, I know, I know....this is a muskie baord, but with water temps getting up there towards that 80 mark in the TC area, and the bass fishing still being this good, I can't pass it up right now!

Was on Forest on Sunday morning and got a 33". Moved 2 others. A couple of buddies were on Rush at the same time and had moved 5 nice fish. They caught many, many northerns and a bass. Sounds like everyone was having luck where ever they went.

    • I like the galvanized tin!
    • Looks awesome, great smoke ring. Was it a little more tender this go around?
    • You sir, did a great job! Enjoy your house...
    • Did a few off season projects waiting for Ice. - Underwater camera, Fish Finder, Wheel house mods and the latest converting a 2 cycle Jiffy Lite 90 to an ION battery auger. Got the auger off Craiglist for $10, Drill for $15. Second stage of gear box is a 5 to 1 reduction so got the auger blade to turn at about 250 RPM which I feel is an ideal speed. Gear reduction also doubled the torque of the motor drive. Planning to use the Dewalt 20V ION battery as I already have charger and now converting one of the 1.5 AH batteries to either 9 or 12 AH.  If anyone needs a mid 80's Jiffy Lite 90 motor and clutch PM me. Has great compression, never tried to start it.  Price somewhere between free and a gift. If you did a project this summer, would you care to share them? • You don't get a smoke ring like that with liquid smoke either
    • Yup, the bike sold and they guy seems pretty happy with the purchase. The only reason it was parked we think because it had a bent back rim. He had torn it all apart and put it back together and currently has it running.
    • Camper is winterized for the season.
    • As far as an app to keep him from getting lost, you could try the Polaris Ride Command app. It is a really good trail map and I believe you can download the maps for the areas you ride in so it will still work even if you don't have cell signal. https://ridecommand.polaris.com/en-us/landing-pages/AppLandingPage
    • I don't know much about it but maybe satellite tracking might be an option?  http://www.cabelas.com/product/SPOT-LLC-SPOT-GEN-ORANGE/1661065.uts?productVariantId=3609002&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=03750221&rid=20&lsft=ref:212,loc:1&gclid=CjwKCAjw4KvPBRBeEiwAIqCB-U1B1VDAZZB5771da4q6PQrP_nm5K5-fi29AOxs0i6bnAO3O3wWVWxoC6R4QAvD_BwE I would think you would be out of range quickly on an ATV in the Chippewa National Forest.
