Beer+Bonfire+Friends=Life's greatest questions

This came up a couple weeks ago (don't ask how) and I wanted to get your thoughts and ideas.

Here it is:

You are blindfolded and hogtied by the mob. They put you into the trunk of the car and take you to a lake/river/stream. You have 20 minutes to catch a fish or you will be killed. What lure are you going to use assuming;

a) The fish has to be a legal catch, no snagging allowed.

B) The choice for rod/real/line is unlimited.

c) No live bait

d) Fish species or size does not matter.

What are you going to throw?

My answer: An 1/8 ounce jig head with a 2 inch white twister tail.

Sidenote: As you can imagine this led to several more beers and hours of debate fun!

Easy, pink and white flu flu jig tipped with a Berkley Powerbait 1" grub under a bobber on a 6' medium light rod and 4 lb test.

That's exactly what I would use. You can't go wrong with pink and white flu flue. I would probably use gulp maggots though.

Exactly! I would switch to a Gulp! Wax Worm though. It can catch the littlest ones. This would also be the combo I would use if I needed to feed myself and was allowed only one set up.

I'd cut back on the alcohol. Other than that I'd just go for bass. They're the easiest fish to catch and they bite on anything. That way it really wouldn't matter what presentation you chose.

I like the switch brands of beer suggestion!

However, we have a rule. When we have these little get to gethers we are not allowed to spend more than 40 cents per can. Mmmmmmmmmmm gotta love cheap, skunky beer!

Senko with 6lb line on 6'6" medium light spinning tackle. Show me a dock or two and there would be enough time to drink a few beers with the mobsters in the remaining 15 minutes.
