Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Wounded skies

Recommended Posts

With all the late evening thunderstorm activity this last week and all of us posting images, I thought I'd throw a couple more into the mix.

Miners Lake dwarfed by the sky

Canon 30D, Canon 17-40 f4L at 17mm, iso100, 1/6 at f22, handheld and braced

Into a troubled sky (actually, the storm had passed, the winds had dropped, and there were blue skies within a few miles)

Canon 30D, Canon 70-200 f2.8L at 120mm, iso100, 1/1250 at f2.8, handheld, panoramic crop

You know it's strange how different people like different things.

For me, the second image is a winner and the first an also-ran, just "another sunset shot." I just tossed the first one in there as an afterthought. I'll be printing the second image really large and custom matting and framing it, I like it that much.

In the end it's all good, and things like this are a continual lesson that what's important is not which nature image we like best, but that we simply like nature images as much as we do. gringrin

The second image does it also for me!...those skies sure made the photo!...one never can tell till we get back home and see the photo on the puter what we really have sometimes......I think maybe that image was the last thing Amelia Earhart saw before she took "the plunge" shocked.... grin

    • This is an intriguing round for sure. Ballistics and long range performance is supposed to be good. Ammo seems priced reasonably.  A big plus is that you can get it in an AR-15 and with a 90 grain bullet I wouldn't be afraid to use it on deer sized animals. I've always liked the idea of having multiple uppers for my AR.
    • The Trestle got 10+ inches of snow today ,,, May have to make plans to go take a peek at the trails this weekend ,,, Hopefully the groomers can get out and pack the trail a little bit to cover the rocks
    • Ha! I am looking into the app controller outlets but not for plugging in the pickup. I just built a deck on the back of the house and I'm going to pull wire and add some extra outlets out there for lights. They'll be much easier than putting in more switches to control them.
    • Oh don't be a poopy pants!  Just given yea some poop!  Nice looking fish as always!
    • Keep us posted my sled is already in the trailer ready to go. My ice scratchers will be delivered tomorrow. And plan on heading up north the day after Christmas for a few days
    • I believe you didn't poach those Northerns. You'd have to catch a fish once to be a poacher....
    • C'mon, we've spent a lot of time coming up with solutions.  Pull out the credit card, buy some of the stuff, and tell us how it works.
