Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Moore's Contest This Weekend

Recommended Posts

I have my sisters college grad party that day, but I may be able to sneak away to the river around dark. I'm sure Larry and Dtro would appreciate my money.

Even though I have fished every Moore's cat night last year and this year, this will be the first night money will be on the line.

I figure Pool 2 has a flat and a channel with money on it wink. I have first hand info on where the channels have been biting and a nice flat has been caught. That all I have to say about this wink.

Heck, even if I got $7.00 back on my $10.00, it would be worth the bragging rights to be in the money on a Mooore's contest grin. I just have to get down town before the cut off mark and this weekend that will happen wink.

I missed out on second place during the last contest by 45 minutes cry, I will be darn if I will let it happen again.

Well,

Went down, bought some hooks, talked with Bob and signed up KQ#1 and my self for this Saterday.

Bob has a very nice and clean place.

Due to the 35W mess, I thought it was going to be hard to find, but I came in the back way from Nicollet and hit up 58th (turn by Bobby and Steves Auto world) and go threw about 2-3 stops signs and when you get to the lights, boom he is right on the right.

Its right accross from a haunted house style funeral home grin. Man that is a big house.

Anyways, Thanks Bob for the Help today and it was nice meeting ya. We will see ya when I collect my winnings grin

You won't be winning anything if you don't get tabs on the control item NOW!!!!!

Silly Shackbash.... you might just want to save the aggravation and turn your entry fees over to Team Dtro/Flatcaster.

winkgrin

The rest of the contestents have seen the light....

YEAH THATS RIGHT...... SCHMACK TALKIN STARTS HERE!!! crazy

O.K. grin

I guess I will call Bob to get the info on Thursday and set up a time I can go down and pick up my winnings on Monday. whistle. he was busy when I went in, but we still got in a little chatting, then I had to go. I forgot to ask.

Even the best have to fall sooner or later wink.

If anything, I am going for the channel class. I got that feeling we will have a great night on Saterday down town.

No need to call him, he doesn't give that information out till later this week. Try him on Saturday when he has things lined up. I might even join in on this one, but still waiting for my co-angler to give me a call back. Had a problem locating the target species the other day, but them Carp sure put up some fights. We have been able to catch them on the walleye contests, so how hard could it be when you are actually looking for them crazy

With the water down, the the turtles biting the other day, it should be a fun time to be on the water.

    • The gobbler came in and beat the jake down I shot him and five seconds later the hen decoy fell over from not being able to stake it down in the frozen ground.
    • I don't have near the birds featherslayer has. My groups were one gobbler with three or four  hens. There was zero gobbling on the roost both mornings. When they hit the ground there was a lot of gobbling and strutting for a couple of hours. The one I shot this morning answered my calls a  couple of times but was out of sight the whole while. He stopped gobbling for a hour and a half when suddenly there was a gobble and close. I called a little bit and he popped out of the trees about eighty yards away and stood there in full strut and just checked things out. Did some soft calling and here he came in full strut and went right to my jake decoy and gave him a beat down. That was all it wrote for him. Classic case of him losing his hens and coming to check out that hen he had answered after flydown. This is a little area I'm hunting and I had let a jake go last year and I'm hoping this was him. Good luck to the rest of our teammates.
    • On my first sit right now. 40 birds in the field, at least 5 shooters, 2 of those are very nice. Think they have to come by me to roost. Fingers crossed.
    • Good job buddy. Glad to see you wiped that skunk off the new bow.
    • Way to close the deal guys!
    • I would always use tree tubes for any hardwoods. If it's small enough to need a tube for protection from deer, rabbits, other... than use the tube. If your putting in the time and money to plant them, you might as well protect them.    Lots of them are on the market. I have only used one type of tube myself. Tubex- combitudes (spelling?). If you are worried about deer you should get the 5 foot tubes. Since that is about the upper limit of their browsing heights. I've used the fiberglass green stakes from L & M instead of buying the stakes from tree tubes suppliers. The only problems i have had so far is a curious bear, who wanted to chew a few tubes.    The other thing you should think about talking to your local DNR forester. They can help you to make sure you are planting trees that are correct for your soils. And may be able to help financially to purchase tubes. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/woodlands/cfm-map.html    Hope this helps,
    • Thanks. Even got the itch to take a spin after seeing other bikes out today. Just a short ride down to the car wash to knock the dust off. Should have worn gloves though as it was a little nippy on the fingers. Maybe Ill run my Super Glide down there tomorrow
    • Birds in my area are too responsive, and yes i had 2 big fellas come in to my 1 tom and 2 hen set up. Accually i had the whole flock coming in and it was load with the hens and all the toms. One thing i fogured out is if there is alot of birds dont be soft calling. I tried to top the old hen and thats what pulled them my way. Good luck to my team and hopfully everybody could have a morning like I did, it wont be forgotten.
    • Well sounds like all went well. My wife just called and picked her up. She does have a drain tube but according to the wife she's acting normal..... For her!
