Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

I know of

Da Nook

Am I missing any others? What do you guys think of these places to eat?

I know I really liked the Nook but haven't been to Psycho Suzi's or the Dairyette.

Al's breakfast! If I remeber right its in dinky town.

Like I mentioned in the other post the nook is good!

Its Dari-ette, which is next on my list!

I haven't made it to physcho suzi's yet either!

There is a drive-in in brooklyn park or center right off 694 that has been mentioned on the splendid table and by Andrew Zimmerman (on his talk show not Bazzar Foods!). grin Every time I have driven by it has been closed but one of these days I'll make it.

i watch that show all the time and have never seen any of these on there. Huh? I will have to check some of them out.

They where on some of the first episodes. All of them have been on one time with the exception of Psycho Suzi's which has been on twice.

Tried to make it to Dari-ette twice this weekend with no luck!

Suzi's been on there twice because of all the tattoos. Other places let's see Mickey's Diner, Matt's Bar, Rooster's, Scott Ja-Mama's or Ted Cook's you have to focus more on the dives here since there isn't much for diners or drive-in's. I will have to think about this one now thanks a lot grin

I've been to mickey's a couple of times and although its fun to go because of the history, I haven't left thinking to myself that was really good! Don't get me wrong, it has good food, great history, and fun atmosphere. I just don't know if it is really good?

"Matt's Bar, Rooster's, Scott Ja-Mama's or Ted Cook's", are those in Minnesota?

Matt's Bar has a world class juicy lucy the original before the nook. It's a little tagboard menu with mostly the best burgers a true dive bar menu. Rooster's is right off Randolph in St. Paul try the pulled pork phenomenal, Scott Ja-Mama's and Ted Cook's are both in Minneapolis and have great barbecue. Just look at Matt's Menu and you will know it's a dive. Matt's menu

Scott Ja-Mama's is good stuff. I go there every once in awhile for lunch. You gotta get there by 11 or so if you want to eat at one of their 2 tables. You can't beat a huge bbq beef sandwich, slaw, twice baked potato, chips and a coke for $6 bones.

Well I have not heard it mentioned on the show but there is a great old fashion drive in in St Louis Park called Wagners. It is just off hwy 7 and about Quebec ave. They actually hang the tray on the window or you can sit at one of many picnic tables. If you like old fashion drive inn's this is the place.

A dive/diner that I have not seen mentioned is "Our Kitchen" just off 36th street and bryant ave in South Minneapolis. It is very small with mainly counter seating. I have been eating there for over 30 years. The man that origionaly opened it died about 15 years ago but his grandson Dan who has worked there since he could see over the counter has owned and ran it ever since. Fridays they serve a full HOMEMADE Turkey dinner. Hmmmmm Get there early though because they sell out. Good Eating!!

Made it to the Dari-ette for lunch today. The boys had the corn dogs (money! grin) and I gave the spaghetti and meatballs a chance and washed it down with a vanilla coke. The meatballs where just like grandma used to make, seriously! I'll be back for sure!! I think the best thing that I saw on the menu was a soft serve cone with crunch coat! Who has crunch coat anymore? Thats probably one of my favorite childhood treats!!

    • agreed i use an app called geo gone that scrubs all data. I have locations turned off but also scrub every photo just encase.
    •   I am not a big Football guy but feel sorry for those folks as well.  IMO if you are just wanting to watch some good hockey with no desire to Win the cup then you are just a casual Fan and that is all good....but I see it differently....it all starts with Hope. As far as the crazy talk this is a quote directly from Liepold out of the Pioneer Press at the start of this season “Anything short of winning the Stanley Cup would be a disappointment,” Leipold said. So my guess is he's getting impatient too, he wants to bring a Cup to MN, he sees we have not been improving, and IMO he's setting the table to give Fletch his walking papers if in fact we don't make a deep run this year.
    • Starting with the 2018 model year (released in March 2017), all 8' wide Yetti's have a 72" x 80" rear ramp door. Many common interior finishes reduce the width down to 70". There are 17'+V front and 21'+V front tandem hydraulic models available. In addition, these Traxx Editions (toy haulers) have adequate hauling capacity for your UTV plus gear.    Good luck on your search!    https://yettioutdoors.com/products/#traxx
    •   This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^   I think the difference is that when message boards like this one were more popular, the info was archived in a user friendly format. Anyone could find the info about Lake Waconia because it was cataloged and searchable under a heading or search terms that made sense. Now the info being offered in groups on Facebook is just a bunch of bits here and there and if you don't catch it when it is first posted, the chances are you will never see it.
    •   yes this is a good point. But also remember to not be like a particular poster that used to frequent the forums who alleged to catch the same exact fish on different casts. But the exif data showed that the 2 pics were taken within a second of each other and the b.s flag was thrown.
    • Been on facebook? there's plenty of chatter on there.
    • Any suggestions?   I'm running out of ideas. My wife is working today but I am home in the snowstorm all day. We just had chicken wild rice soup last night and chili not too long ago so no soups and I don't feel like standing outside by the grill or smoker in this weather so what should I make for supper?
    • From Strikemaster.....   This size blade has been discontinued since 1981. Wow.......so my auger is at best only 37 years old.......If it could only tell stories.
