Fishing in the rain

2 posts in this topic

I'm heading up to Vermilion this weekend and it looks like rain all weekend. I don't recall ever fishing for Muskies in the rain. I usually wuss out and jig for walleyes. Can you guys give me any insight on if I should fish any differently than normal? Should I slow down my presentation? Any help or suggestions would be great.

Whenever I'm not sure what to do, especially on a trip or new water, my crutch is always trolling. Cover water and hit the high percentage spots. When the drag squeels, set down your beer and bring him in. Mark it on the GPS and get serious on those spots with your casting for the rest of the trip.
