I hear ya. the volume in the boat is always in relation to distance from others on the lake.

When I fish with my Dad on his lake he always has the polkas cranked in eight feet of water. We have no problem catching eyes. Drives me nuts but I will deal with it, he is my pops. Keeps other boaters away too!!!

yes. i need to get a radio in my boat. we were in my buddies during that tourny. i need a radio, a flare gun and an air horn. i was pounding the eyes last night until i had 4 people with 2 stokes come in backtrolling circles around me in 11 FOW. that was the end of my night.

I like having the Twins game on. Most of the time it's background noise until something happens to make you pay attention.

I like the polka idea to keep others away but I don't think I could take it very long.

Bass have always liked Classic rock in my opinion.

If another boat get to close I will put in CD of Opera singer Florence Foster Jenkins howling along with great pleasure and crank it.

For some reason they seem to put on some distance in a big hurry???

The Fish bite right when the radio gets turned on in our boat. But you have to be singing along of course

After years of extensive research I have concluded that bass like Hendricks, northerns like AC/DC, walleyes are more into Led Zeppelin. Pannies are more into stuff like Petty or FW Mac. As far as singing along, I can't carry a tune so I can't verify that. You guys that carry cd's of polka and opera are just plain disturbed.

I haven't don extensive studies in my boat, but I always play KQ (Classic Rock). I'll stray to KS 95 or rarely 93X.

From a proessional standpoint, I can see bass and pike going for heavier stuff because there's usually more vibrations, so the fish come to see what's up. Walleyes are usually deep enough that it may or may not effect them, and pannies like the soft stuff because they spook easily.
