Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Brewers vs Twins

Recommended Posts

The border battle starts tomorrow - I predict 2 out of 3 for the Crew and probably the opposite later in the Dome. Not that I wouldn't like to see a sweep job on the Twinkies grin

Man. Miller park is the best. Tons of Twins fans, even the brewers fans were friendly. We had great seats. Came early and tailgated, then stayed an hour or so afterward. Twins won in extra innings!

As a Brewer's fan, I think it was a good call. Kind of lookedlike Gardenhire didn't agree though.

well If I was a Brewers fan I would have said the same thing, and I bet if the Brewers were batting, they would have got the time. crazy

I was up nort and hear the Twins won Fri and Sat, the Crew Sun. Anything exciting other than the no-time out call?

scott baker struck out 4 batters in an inning. first twins pitcher to ever do so.

How come if this was a Packers Vikes thread the Pack fans would be rubbing in our faces the Packs Super Bowl wins.

TWINS 2 World Series WINS Brewers ZERO

What??? What did you say?? The Brewers have only been to the playoffs ONCE??? In the franchises entire existance- ONCE?? I gotta go, I cant type and laugh at the same time.

Brewers fans have more class. When I was at Miller Park I didnt see anything negative between opposing fans. AT ALL.

That is because the Twins won!!

We were there last year and two different groups of young punks were riding my 12 year old son for having a Hunter Jersey and using foul language and telling him to get the F out of their state. Isolated? Probably, but was two different groups, but were very drunk. Twins did lose that game though - so that gave them something to talk about!

If it was a Pack/Viking post the Viqueen fans would be whining as usual!

Back to the original topic, anyone going to the dome for the next Brew/Twins series?

Actually I always see more Packer fan finger pointing than Vikes fans whining. Barring having won a Super Bowl, all in all the Vikes have had a more successful franchise than Green Bay. It's a fact, sorry.

Brewers fans are a good bunch...always a drunk thats a headache, but you have that everywhere.

Harris should have got time but even if he didn't the pitching bocked! What a joke call.

Oh well, 2 of 3 is solid and hopefully they can put a string of series wins together.

Excitement Saturday - Kubel Bomb, Baker 4k for 3 outs

Yep, you'll get arseholes anywhere you go.

Side note, I don't think I've ever been to the basketball forum but I'd bet the debate between the Bucks and T-wolves fans is about like this: our team stinks worse than yours - no way, our team is horrible, you guys are just bad!

Ahha. That might be what it would be like. Except its hard pressed to find T-wolves and Bucks fans. So there is really nothing to debate. NBA is such a joke. Even the savior finals failed to live up to the hype. The Lakers were suppose to be soo good blah blah blah, when really they could have easily been swept.

Lets hope we can see a Border Battle Series! That would be some tightness!!!

You can't be serious Zamboni???? The only thing the Vikings have been more successful at, is being the first team to reach the Super Bowl 4 times and lose them all. Of course you could throw in the worst loss in NFC Championship history as well...Giants 41 Vikings 0 ...I'll give you props on the 2 World Series titles...those are bragging rights (of course we're not supposed to brag about winning championships right)?

Gardy got fined for DELAY OF GAME by the Major League after arguing the Harris non time out call. He did not leave the home plate area in a timely fashion.

What was the original topic anyway.

Badger- you better count division titles, overall the Vikings have had MORE SUCCESS. It IS a fact, look it up. Before Favre came along the Packers didn't have a single winning season in over TWENTY YEARS!!!

Vikings- 16 Division Championships

Packers- 13 Division Championships

I was sitting in the local watering hole last night watching the game. I looked at the dude next to me and commented that if the Brew's pitcher keeps pitching Joe Mauer inside like he was, Joe was going to turn on the next one and ding it.

It was a call. Great game to watch.

    • I would say that it is pretty typical that Social Studies and History classes in High School are often a decade or two behind.   It takes time for the teacher colleges and textbooks and curricula to get updated and approved and incorporated.    Also giving things a good while to cool down is safer as well.  I don't recall my kids getting taught about Vietnam, and that was a decade or so after it was over.   I wonder if kids in high school today are getting taught anything about 9/11 and Kuwait and Iraq and war on terror and all that?   And if so, what they are being taught?

    • Hello from the NW Angle of Lake of the Woods!

Water temps are hovering in the low 60’s despite the very fall like weather we are experiencing.

The scenic Canadian shore lines are coming to life with various critters. Otter, bear and more making preparations for the coming winter.

Walleye fishing in Canada is excellent with a jig and minnow or shiner. The most productive environment has been gaps at 15-18’ with plenty of current present. Good numbers of perch are being caught off deep edges or reefs at 30’ or more. Crappies are a little more difficult this week, the best chances are on a light set up.

Around Minnesota, walleyes can still be had with a crankbait but favored methods are switching over to a jig tipped with a shiner on main lake points between 20 and 24’.

Muskies are moving deeper with anglers transitioning from casting to trolling. There is still time to boat a big fall fish!

We hope to see you soon!

    • I had a Great Wars class in HS, teacher spent most of the semester drawing castle defenses on the blackboards that wrapped around three quarters of the classroom.....moats, arrowslits, murder holes, talus, and trou de loup's.  WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam were covered in the last week of class.  *chuckle*  We even watched Monty Python and The Holy Grail. "Spank me"
    • Nah, about the time the libbers started taking over education and just ignored anything not on their brainwashing agenda!
    • Next time it happens call them before unplugging. They can run a system check to see if it's on their end our yours. Then you know it's time to buy a new 55" inch set!
    • From what i can recall from my school days the teachin lady never really covered the Vietnam war as well as the Korean war in class. Maybe our textbooks were too old but did many of you have much learnin on these wars.  They covered the civil war and world wars but almost skipped over these.  I assume it was because we pretty much got our posteriors handed to us and that doesn't sit well.
    • I have Comcast service and a problem has developed.  The Samsung 50 inch TV is about 6 years old.  A couple of times in the past few days the screen goes blank.  The audio still works.  I have tried a few things but eventually found that what works is to simply unplug the entire system and let it sit for a short time.  Once plugged back in and the thing is allowed to reboot it works.  Any ideas? Thanks for your time. Tom

    • I really don't give a shiat either way. You're the one who constantly gets his panties in a twist over this stuff. Really chafes your nethers, huh? When I saw the solo Pittsburgh guy standing there I said "Good for him", and as for the rest of the team in the locker room I said "Good for them." That's how freedom works.
