lowrance sonar problems

sparky27

Question

I Bought a new lowrance lxc-17 in 2007. It has worked great up until my most recent trip. The problem is when I troll at 2-5 mph the sonar wont read the depth. If I am in no motion the sonar works great. Any advive or information on fixing my problem would be much appreciated.

If it happens just when you run the trolling motor maybe you are having electrical interference or maybe your transducer got bumped and is at a bad angle. Thats what comes to mind for me.

I had the same problem with my 102c. Tried to adjust the transducer but nothing worked. Called lorance since it was under warranty and they sent me a new transducer. Put it on and it works great now.

Sounds like they may have a bad batch of transducers since I have seen many post with the same type of issues. Not saying it will be YOUR fix but it worked for me.
