seaner
When fishing ski's up there do you all tend to stay toward the shoreline structure or structure in the bays or do you venture off to the mid lake reefs? thanks!
AWH
All of the above. Fish tend to transition from the bays early in the year while the mid lake reefs hold more fish later in the year. But at any given time, they could be anywhere. Never make assumptions on where you think they won't be. Aaron
Tim_Anderson
June, I stick more to the weedy bays and breaklines adjacent to the spawning areas...primarily in the southern 1/3 of the lake. But like Aaron said, they could be anywhere. During June and early July, the muskies are in transition from their spring spawning areas to their summer haunts. Many are out in "no mans land" headed north.During July and on, you will find them everywhere. Weedy bays on the flats and breaklines throughout the entire lake. Open water. Rock piles. And, the north end sand.
